Summary
This is the journey of my Paramount Pictures Studios badge from the Paramount tours in Hollywood into coming to my house in New York City.

I was on my three day vacation in Los Angeles. It was the first time of my life visiting Los Angeles to learn about the lifestyle of celebrity culture, movie production, and pop music. It has always been my biggest dream to visit Hollywood until I was luckily given the opportunity to do so.
On July 18 2025, I was exploring the Hollywood area. My first and most crucial stop at Hollywood is the Paramount Pictures Studios. When I first entered Paramount, the most crucial souvenir that I got to keep forever is the visitor badge. As the badge printed before I got to keep it, it visited the Ben Lomond Peak in Utah—the mountain portrayed in the Paramount logo. Then, it visited the virtual Paramount gate which it will later visit in person with me.
The badge has a meaning of entertainment and movie production in the Hollywood area. The badge originated from Hollywood and it represents the production of different movies created in Hollywood since Hollywood is the primary hub for entertainment, celebrity culture, and fame.
Once I got the badge, we both went through two important stations before going on the actual movie production tour. First and foremost, the badge and I stopped at the indoor Paramount sign where we got to take a picture along with a Paramount trophy which celebrities win. Then, we stopped at the in-person Paramount gate—where I got to take a picture of myself with the badge. The gate represents the welcoming gate for tourists and celebrities, which is also represented on my badge.
Continuing the tour at Paramount, we went to different stations where movies are being produced. We both saw movies being produced behind closed doors such as the New York City street backlot. It is so interesting that movies designed to take place in New York City are reproduced behind closed doors in Paramount—along with specialized equipment utilized to create and edit movies which they may not always want the public to know.
Concluding the tour, we were passing an area with an empty space which they call the water area for movies. That area is used for actors and actresses who need to perform while being in the water—such as part of the movie representing a character in the ocean, river, or lake for example. The tour also pointed a tank all the way on top of the body of the water. The tour guide inferred that that tank is used for water. When I asked whether water from that tank flows through secret pipes in order to fill up the water area for movies, they told me that my question could be a probable guess.
At the end of the tour, the badge has already experienced interesting stuff in-person after it visited imagined places as it got printed. The badge then becomes ready for me to take to New York City—my home city.
As I returned to New York City, the badge had to go through my suitcase. It had to be checked in along with my suitcase, then fly on a six hour flight from LAX to JFK under the plane. Afterwards, the badge eventually returned to me as I collected my suitcase at the carousel and unpacked my suitcase at my house in New York City.
